Hillrisen Exports is a premier spice and food export company headquartered in the heart of Kerala’s spice country — the lush, misty high ranges of Idukki district. What sets us apart is simple: we own the land where our spices grow.

Our cardamom and pepper plantations sit at elevations above 1,000 metres in the Western Ghats, where the unique microclimate of cool temperatures, heavy rainfall, and rich laterite soil produces spices of extraordinary quality, aroma, and oil content.

Idukki district in Kerala is world-renowned as the “Spice Garden of India.” Nestled in the Western Ghats — a UNESCO World Heritage biodiversity hotspot — the region’s unique combination of altitude, rainfall, and tropical climate creates ideal conditions for growing the world’s finest spices.

Our estates in the Cardamom Hills produce some of the most aromatic green cardamom and pungent black pepper in India. The cool mountain air, rich soil, and traditional shade-grown cultivation methods ensure every harvest is of exceptional quality.

Beyond our own estates, we work with a network of trusted local farmers across Kerala who share our commitment to quality and sustainable agriculture. This allows us to offer a comprehensive range of spices while maintaining the traceability and quality assurance our buyers expect.
